Encarnaciones del Amor: consideren por un momento de dónde viene la lluvia. Viene de las nubes. Las nubes vienen del vapor de agua que se levanta del mar. La lluvia se convierte en un chorrillo sobre la tierra, llega a ser un arroyo que se funde en un gran río, y finalmente alcanza el mar como su destino. Cuando una vasija hecha de arcilla se rompe la arrojan en tierra, y con el tiempo se hace arcilla nuevamente. El agua del mar se une al mar, la arcilla de la tierra vuelve a la tierra, pero ¿por qué sólo el ser humano olvida la fuente de la cual ha venido? La única maldad persistente en el ser humano es la sensación de «mío» (Mamakara), el sentimiento adquisitivo y posesivo. Esta es la causa fundamental de todos los otros males. Ustedes deben recordar que son realmente divinos. Inspiran y espiran veintiún mil seiscientas veces por día: esto es un recordatorio natural
del mensaje de «SO HAM» (Soy Dios), que es la verdad acerca de su realidad divina. (Discurso Divino, 6 de marzo de 1989)

 

Embodiments of Love, consider for a moment, where from the rain comes. It comes from the clouds. Clouds come from water vapour, rising from the sea. Rain water becomes a channel on the earth, changes itself into a rivulet and merges into a big river, and finally reaches the sea as its destination. A pot made out of clay when broken is cast on the ground, and in the course of time, becomes clay again. Water from the sea joins the sea, clay from the earth, goes back to earth again, but why does a human being alone forget the source He came from? The only besetting evil in the human being is the sense of ‘mine’ (Mamakara), the acquisitive and possessive feeling. This is the root-cause for all other evils. You must remember that you are truly divine. You inhale and exhale 21,600 times – it is a natural reminder of the message of ‘SO-HAM’ (I am God) which is the truth about your divine reality. En verdad, las plegarias de los grandes actúan como una invitación, incluso para el advenimiento del Señor. En el mundo exterior, cuando los súbditos necesitan algún servicio o ayuda, acuden a los gobernantes y les informan acerca de sus requerimientos. Así también, en el estado interno, cuando no hay ninguna posibilidad de lograr y adquirir devoción, caridad, paz ni verdad, los grandes y las buenas personas que desean adquirirlas rezan al Señor interiormente. Entonces, al escuchar sus plegarias, Él mismo viene al mundo y derrama Su gracia sobre ellos. El Ramayana y el Bhagavata revelan que el Señor Rama y el Señor Krishna se encarnaron como respuesta a las plegarias de los sabios. Por eso las oraciones deben ser ofrecidas una y otra vez, para la realización de la tarea. Nadie debe desesperarse ni abandonar los ruegos, aunque éstos no resulten
inmediatamente en el advenimiento del Señor. (Prema Vahini, Capítulo 70)

 

Truly, the prayers of the great act as an invitation even for the advent of the Lord. In the external world, when the subjects need any convenience or help, they approach the rulers and inform them of their request. So also, in the internal state, when there is no possibility of achieving and acquiring devotion, charity, peace, and truth, the great and good people who desire to achieve them pray to the Lord within themselves. Then, listening to their prayers, He Himself comes into the world and showers His grace on them. Ramayana and Bhagavata reveal that Lord Rama and Krishna incarnated as an answer to the prayers of the sages. Thus prayers should be offered again and again for the realisation of the task. No one should become desperate and give up prayers if they don’t result immediately in the advent of the Lord. (Prema Vahini, Ch 70)

¿Quién es el Señor Shiva, y dónde se Lo encuentra? Se dan muchas respuestas, incluso que Kailash es Su lugar de residencia. La verdadera respuesta es: «Isavasyam Idam Sarvam» (Todo esto está imbuido de Isa). Él es omnipresente. No hay lugar, objeto ni ser en que Dios no esté presente. Corrijan su perspectiva, y reconozcan esta unidad en la aparente diversidad que los rodea. Cuando Dios es omnipresente, ¿con qué necesidad van en Su busca? La búsqueda no tiene sentido. Si ustedes se libran del apego y el odio, experimentarán la Divinidad intrínseca. Este es el sadhana (ejercicio espirtual) que tienen que hacer hoy: librarse del deseo y el odio que ocultan al Dios en su interior. Mucha gente pregunta: «Swami, muéstranos el camino». Todo lo que tienen que hacer es regresar a la fuente de la que han venido. ¿Cuál es la necesidad
de buscar el camino? El Bhagavatha ha declarado que el destino natural de todo ser viviente es regresar a su lugar de origen. (Discurso Divino, 6 de marzo de 1989)

 

Who is Lord Shiva, and where is He to be found? Many answers are given, including Kailash as His place of residence. The true answer is, ‘Isavasyam Idam Sarvam’ (All this is pervaded by Isa). He is omnipresent. There is no place, object or being where God is not present. Correct your outlook and recognise this unity in the apparent diversity around you. When God is omnipresent, what need is there to go in search of Him? The search is meaningless. If one gets rid of attachment and hatred, one will experience the Divinity inherent within. This is the sadhana (spiritual exercise) one has to do today – to get rid of desire and hatred which conceal the God within. Many people ask: «Swami! Show us the way.» All you have to do is to go back to the source from which you came. Where is the need for seeking the way? The Bhagavatha has declared that it is the natural destiny of every living being to go back to where each one came from. (Divine Discourse, 6 March

Las armas y las bombas no pueden salvar el mundo. Sólo la Gracia de Dios puede salvar el mundo. Por lo tanto, el principal deber de ustedes es rezar por Su gracia. La plegaria es de importancia suprema, y es necesario estar conscientes de esto en la vida diaria, a cada paso. Nunca olviden que nada es más poderoso que el Nombre del Señor para protegerlos. Cuando cantan solos, su corazón se funde en la canción. Cuando muchos cantan juntos, la oración adquiere un poder divino. Por eso Guru Nanak hizo el elogio del canto en comunidad. Con la melodía y el ritmo, ustedes deben impartir sentimiento a su canto, para hacer del bhajan una ofrenda sagrada. Una melodía (raga) sin sentimiento (bhava) es una enfermedad (roga). Abandonando la arrogancia y el exhibicionismo, canten los bhajans en un espíritu de humildad y devoción, con total conciencia del poder del nombre del Señor. Esta es
la manera correcta de cantar bhajans. Cuando todos los participantes cantan al unísono se producen vibraciones sagradas, y las energías divinas así liberadas llenan el universo entero. (Discurso Divino, 13 de febrero de 1991)

 

Arms and bombs cannot save the world. God’s Grace alone can save the world. Hence your foremost duty is to pray for His grace. Prayer is supremely important and this awareness is needed in your daily living, at every step. Never forget that nothing is as powerful as the Lord’s Name to protect you. When you sing alone, your heart is merged in the song. When many sing together, the prayer acquires a divine power. Hence Guru Nanak commended community singing. With melody and rhythm, you must impart feeling to your song to make the bhajan a sacred offering. A tune (raga) without feeling (bhava) is a disease (roga). Giving up conceit and exhibitionism, sing bhajans in a spirit of humility and devotion, with the full awareness of the power of the Lord’s Name. This is the right way to do bhajans. When all participants sing in unison, sacred vibrations are produced, and the divine energies released fill the whole universe. (Divine Discourse, Feb 13, 1991)
