Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

OM SRI SAI RAM

Esta es la era de la ciencia y la tecnología. Su civilización y su cultura están sujetas al conocimiento del universo físico. Sin embargo, lo que los estudiantes tienen que aprender hoy es la cultura del alma, el ensanchamiento del espíritu y la purificación del corazón. Este conocimiento conduce al despliegue del espíritu y a la sublimación de la vida. Al mismo tiempo que el desarrollo del intelecto, debe promoverse el florecimiento del corazón. Solo se puede llamar completa aquella educación que fomenta la expansión del hrudaya (el corazón espiritual); debe servir para promover los valores éticos. Solo así será posible llevar una vida bien regulada y disciplinada. Las características de la auténtica educación son el altruismo, la humildad y la sencillez. El edificio de la buena educación descansa sobre cuatro
pilares: el control de uno mismo, el mantenimiento de uno mismo, la confianza en uno mismo, y el sacrificio de uno mismo. (Divino discurso, 23 de junio de 1988)

 

This is the age of science and technology. Its civilisation and culture are bound to the knowledge of the physical universe. What the students have to learn today, however, are the culture of the Soul, the broadening of the Spirit and purification of the Heart. This knowledge leads to the unfolding of the Spirit and the sublimation of life. Along with the development of the intellect, the blossoming of the heart should also be promoted. Only that education is complete which promotes the expansion of the hrudaya (the spiritual heart). It should serve to promote ethical values. Only then will it be possible to lead a well-regulated and disciplined life. The marks of true education are selflessness, humility and unostentatiousness. La tecnología ha hecho posible que se escuche o se vea simultáneamente en miles de hogares a un músico que está cantando en Delhi. Sin embargo, cuando leemos en el Bhagavata que Sri Krishna apareció ante las Gopikas simultáneamente en miles de hogares, muchos se preguntan si es esto creíble. Si los artilugios (yantras) hechos por el hombre pueden ser tan poderosos, ¿por qué dudar del poder de los mantras? Las ondas sonoras se convierten en ondas eléctricas y son transmitidas a través del éter. Las Gopikas pudieron experimentar la

The listening or viewing of a musician singing in Delhi in thousands of homes simultaneously, is rendered possible by technology. But when we read in the Bhagavata that Sri Krishna appeared to the Gopikas, simultaneously in thousands of homes, questions are asked whether this is credible. If man-made gadgets (yantras) can be so powerful, why doubt the power of mantras? Sound waves are converted into electrical waves and transmitted through ether. The waves have a permanence in space and can be received by one who can tune in to the vibrations. Likewise, if the all-pervasive Divine is received in the radio receiver of the heart by tuning in with one-pointed devotion, the bliss of that experience will reveal Him to you. It is because the Gopikas were experts in this technology, they could experience the omnipresence of Krishna. Del pájaro, aprendan la confianza en sí mismos. Un pájaro posado sobre la rama tierna de un árbol no es afectado por el viento que sacude la rama, ni por la tormenta que podría arrancar el árbol; para su seguridad, él no confía en la rama ni en el árbol, sino en sus alas. Sabe que siempre podrá volar y salvarse. El pájaro siempre se siente feliz y despreocupado. Las aves no se preocupan por acumular. Se contentan con aprovechar el presente, viviendo de lo que puedan obtener para el día. No se inquietan por la carrera de sus hijos ni por el estado de su cuenta bancaria. No experimentan ansiedad por el mantenimiento de sus casas o propiedades. Piensen ustedes en lo que han hecho de sí mismos. Posados sobre una rama del árbol de la vida, ¿no les preocupa cada pequeño temblor? ¿No los consume, privándolos de la paz mental? (Divino

Learn the lesson of self-reliance from the bird. A bird perched on the leafy twig of a tree is not affected by the wild swaying of the twig or the storm which might blow it off because it relies not on the twig or tree but on its own wings for its safety. It knows it can always fly away and save itself. The bird is always happy and carefree. Birds are not concerned about accumulating. They are content to make the best of the present, living on whatever they can get for the day. They do not worry about the careers of their children or the state of their bank accounts. They have no anxiety about the upkeep of houses or properties. Now think about what you have made of yourself? Sitting on the branch of the tree of life, are you not worried about every little tremor in life; consumed by it, and losing your peace of mind? (Divine Discourse, July 3, 1986)

En el Treta Yuga, el hermano de Ravana, Vibhishana, no pudo soportar las malas acciones que Ravana estaba cometiendo.Oponiéndose a estas acciones, procuró corregir a Ravana de todas las maneras posibles. Pero cuando sus esfuerzos fracasaron y ya no tuvo otra alternativa, buscó refugio a los pies de la encarnación del Dharma, Sri Rama. El principal ofensor era solo Ravana. Pero en la guerra contra Rama, todos los rakshasas que lo apoyaron o se unieron a él, perecieron con él. Pagaron el castigo por haber respaldado su crimen. Quienquiera que cometa una ofensa, ya sea un hijo, una hija, una esposa, un pariente o un socio, uno estará libre de la mancha de ser cómplice del crimen solo si se opone a la acción incorrecta y trata de corregir genuinamente al ofensor. Si, por el contrario, le permite o lo alienta a hacerlo, será culpable de complicidad y experimentará los frutos de su

In Treta Yuga, Ravana’s brother, Vibhishana, could not put up with the wrong deeds being done by Ravana. Opposing these actions, he tried to correct Ravana in all possible ways. But when his efforts failed and he had no alternative, he sought refuge at the feet of the embodiment of Dharma, Sri Rama. The prime offender was Ravana alone. But in the war with Rama, all the rakshasas (demons) who supported him or sided him, perished with him. They paid the penalty for their abetment of his crime. Whoever may commit an offence, whether a son, daughter, spouse, a relation or a close associate, one will be free from the taint of being accessory to the crime only if they oppose the wrong action and try to correct the offender genuinely. If on the contrary, they allow it or encourage it to be done, they will be guilty of abetment and experience the fruits of their action. – Divine Discourse, Oct 11, 1986
