Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam

OM SRI SAI RAM

Podrán brindar Ananda (bienaventuranza) mediante su palabra, solo cuando ustedes mismos hayan alcanzado el estado de Ananda. Una lámpara encendida bajo una vasija con cinco agujeros: este es el símbolo de una persona que tiene la llama de la sabiduría brillando a través de los cinco sentidos. Cubran la vasija con una tela gruesa, y no emergerá ninguna luz. La tela es la cubierta de ajnana (la ignorancia), de tamas (la indolencia y la estupidez). Elíminen la tela, y la luz brillará débilmente a través de los sentidos; este es el símbolo de rajas (la pasión y la actividad). Eliminen la vasija misma, es decir, eliminen la identificación con el cuerpo (el dehatma-buddhi); entonces, la Atmajyoti (la luz del Uno Mismo) brillará plena y resplandeciente. La luz divina, o bienaventuranza divina, estuvo siempre allí, pero obstruida por la vasija y la tela.
Ananda es el carácter nativo de ustedes, su verdadera estampa, su realidad misma. (Divino Discurso, 29 de julio de 1964)

 

You can give Ananda (bliss) by your speech, only if you have attained the state of Ananda yourself. A lamp burning under a pot with five holes: that is the symbol of a person who has the flame of wisdom shining through the five senses. Cover the pot with a thick cloth and no light emerges. The cloth is the cover of ajnana (ignorance), of tamas (slothfulness and dullness). Remove it; it shines feebly through the senses – that is the symbol of rajas (passion and activity). Remove the pot itself, that is to say, remove the identification with the body (the dehatma-buddhi), then the Atmajyoti (light of the Self) shines full and bright. The Divine light or Divine Bliss is ever there but, it was obstructed by the pot and the cloth. Ananda is your native character, your real stamp, your very reality. (Divine Discourse, Jul 29, 1964)

No se quejen de que el Señor los esté probando y haciendo que atraviesen la penosa experiencia de soportar exámenes, pues solo cuando son examinados pueden asegurarse el triunfo, o percatarse de sus limitaciones. Así pueden concentrarse en las asignaturas en que son deficientes, prestando una atención más intensiva, para poder aprobar en ellas cuando sean examinados de nuevo. No estudien a último momento para el examen; estudien con mucha anticipación y estén listos, con el conocimiento necesario, y el valor y la confianza que nacen de ese conocimiento y esa pericia. Lo que hayan estudiado con mucha anticipación debe ser repasado mentalmente una y otra vez, poco antes del examen; eso es todo lo que ser requiere. Con toda seguridad, emergerán victoriosos; este es el camino a la victoria. (Discurso de Shivaratri, marzo de 1963)

 

Do not grieve that the Lord is testing you and putting you through the ordeal of undergoing tests, for it is only when you are tested that you can assure yourself of success or become aware of your limitations. You can then concentrate on the subjects in which you are deficient and pay more intensive attention, so that you can pass in them too when you are tested again. Don’t study for the examination at the last moment; study well in advance and be ready with the needed knowledge and the courage and confidence born out of that knowledge and skill. What you have studied well in advance must be rehearsed over and over in the mind, just previous to the examination; that is all that needs to be done. You will certainly emerge victorious – this is the pathway to victory. (Shivaratri Discourse, March 1963)

Ustedes tienen el deber de mantener una buena conducta y llevar una vida virtuosa, sin importar las circunstancias. Transformen su corazón haciéndolo puro y sagrado. La pureza es la genuina característica de todo ser humano. La pureza debe manifestarse en todo lo que hagan: en sus pensamientos, en lo que ven o dicen, y en todo lo que hacen. Solo cuando exhiban tal pureza podrán convertirse en las encarnaciones de la divina Atma que son en realidad. Entonces desaparecerá la diferencia entre lo divino y lo mundano, y todo será divinizado. La diferencia entre el objeto y el sujeto también desaparecerá. Así, todas las cosas llegarán a ser el total (purnam). Decidan hoy volver sus pensamientos hacia Dios y esfuércense por purificar su corazón y sus sentidos, para poder alcanzar la toma de conciencia de Sí Mismos. (Divino Discurso, 3 de julio de 1984)

 

It is your duty to see that your conduct is right and you lead a righteous life, regardless of circumstances! Transform your heart by making it pure and sacred. Purity is the true characteristic of every human being. Purity should be manifested in everything one does: in your thoughts, in what you see or say, and in all that you do. It is only when you display such purity that you truly can become embodiments of the Divine Atma, that you really are! Then the distinction between the Divine and the mundane disappears and everything is Divinised. The difference between the object and the subject will also go. Everything then becomes the whole (purnam). Resolve today to turn your thoughts to God, to strive to purify your heart and senses, so that you can attain Self-realisation. Las personas educadas no parecen tener consideración por los valores morales. No muestran gratitud hacia aquellos que los ayudaron en momentos de necesidad. No tienen consideración por sus parientes, y no vacilan en hacerles daño. Se informa que estudiantes con años de educación superior se han comportado de manera indigna. Muchos llevan vidas miserables. ¿De qué sirve una educación que no capacita para cumplir con las obligaciones hacia cónyuges e hijos? El primer requisito es la eliminación de las malas cualidades prevalentes entre las personas educadas. Ellas tienen que retornar al camino de la moralidad y la rectitud. Muchas personas educadas carecen de miedo al pecado y de amor a Dios. Quienes parecen ser piadosos no tienen buenas cualidades genuinas. Este comportamiento hipócrita está viciando la atmósfera en todas partes, y promoviendo el desorden y la
confusión. Por lo tanto, todos deben embarcarse en librarse de los malos rasgos y en implantar cualidades divinas. (Divino Discurso, 2 de abril de 1984)

 

Educated people do not seem to have any regard for moral values. They have no gratitude for those who helped them in times of need. They have no consideration for their kith and kin, and do not hesitate to inflict harm on them. Students who have gone through years of higher education are reported to have behaved in an unworthy manner. Many lead miserable lives. What is the value of an education which does not enable one to do one’s duty towards one’s spouse and children? The first requisite is the elimination of the bad qualities prevailing among educated persons. They have to return to the path of morality and right conduct. Many educated people have neither fear of sin nor love of God. Those who appear to be pious also have no genuine good qualities. Such hypocritical behaviour is vitiating the atmosphere everywhere and promoting disorder and confusion. Everyone should therefore embark upon getting rid of bad traits and implanting divine
