Si han malentendido que Dios (Brahman) les está causando un bien o un mal, o que les está imponiendo algún castigo desde afuera, no es la actitud correcta. Este poder o fuerza que intentamos describir con la palabra ‘Brahman’ no es algo externo o fuera del propio ser. Los frutos que recojan corresponderán a las semillas que planten. Si la semilla es de un tipo y tienen la ambición de obtener un fruto distinto, ¿cómo es posible? Pueden ser muy inteligentes, pero la inteligencia no sirve de nada, si no se despojan de sus cualidades egoístas. Cualquiera sea el bien o el mal que hayan hecho, el aspecto de Brahman no va a colocar el bien y el mal por separado. Dios les va a dar una guirnalda ininterrumpida por todo lo malo y lo bueno que hayan acumulado.[ Lluvias de Verano en Brindavan, 1974,Vol. 1, Cap. 3]

 

If you have the misapprehension that God (Brahman) outside is causing good or bad to you, or that He is giving some punishment to you, it is not the right attitude. This power or strength which we attempt to describe by the word ‘Brahman’ is not something which is external to and outside you. It is present in you and is in your own self. The fruits that you get will correspond to whatever seeds you plant. If the seed is of one kind and if you have the ambition to obtain a different fruit, how is it possible? You may be very clever, but all the cleverness is of no avail if you are not giving up your mean qualities. Whatever good or bad you may have done, the aspect of Brahman is not going to break the good and bad into separate parts. God is going to give you an unbroken garland of all the good and all the bad that you have accumulated. [Summer Showers in Brindavan, 1974, Vol 1, Ch 3]

El Señor Krishna y Balarama (su hermano mayor) estaban dispuestos a trabajar duro y demostraron que la prosperidad se puede lograr a través del trabajo arduo. El Señor Krishna, omnisciente y todopoderoso, era la Divinidad encarnada, y sin embargo Él trabajó como cochero para Arjuna. Krishna era quien reconocía la importancia del servicio a la comunidad, y con su propio ejemplo mostró que el servicio a los otros era importante. Todos los días, después de la guerra de Mahabharata, el Señor Krishna llevaba los caballos al río, los lavaba, curaba sus heridas y les aplicaba medicamentos. Lord Krishna and Balarama (His elder brother) were willing to do hard work and showed that prosperity can be achieved through hard work. Lord Krishna was all-knowing, all-powerful, and Divinity incarnate, yet He worked as a charioteer for Arjuna. Krishna was one who recognised the importance of service to the community; and by His own example showed that service to others was important. Everyday, after the war of Mahabharata, Lord Krishna took the horses to the river, washed them and tended their wounds and applied medicines. Lord Krishna demonstrated that hard work and compassion to all living beings constitute the duty of all human beings. [Summer Roses on Blue Mountains 1976, Ch 3]

Nunca deben ocuparse de hablar de lo bueno y lo malo en otros. Conservar cualidades negativas en su mente los llevará por un mal camino y seguro caerán. La gente que tiene ideas nocivas, con el tiempo seguramente se destruirá, a pesar de la cantidad de riquezas o conocimiento que posea. Un individuo que se esfuerza por mantenerse alejado del mal e intenta promover el bien, verdaderamente progresará. Si usan mil ojos para detectar errores en los demás e invierten todo su tiempo en eso, sus corazones se volverán impuros y generarán ideas negativas. Nuestro corazón es como la lente de una cámara. El objeto en el que concentramos nuestra atención se imprime en la mente. Tanto los jóvenes como los mayores deben tratar de ocuparse de que malas cualidades como los celos, el odio y la falta de tolerancia nunca entren a sus mentes. (Discurso Divino, Lluvias de Verano en

You should never undertake to discuss the good and bad in others. If you entertain bad qualities in your mind, it will lead you to a bad path and you will surely fall. People who entertain bad ideas will certainly be destroyed in course of time despite any amount of wealth or knowledge that they may possess. An individual, who endeavours to keep away the bad in oneself and attempts to promote the good, will make real progress. If you use a thousand eyes for locating the faults in others and spend all your time in this process, your heart will get impure and will develop bad ideas. Our heart is like a camera lens. The object on which we concentrate our attention gets imprinted on the mind.
