Encerrarse en una habitación y ofrecer incienso y flores a una representación o imagen de Dios, y cantar o recitar Su gloria son sustitutos muy pobres de la disciplina que les libera de la ignorancia. Todos los seres son imágenes de Dios; todos los hombres son su representación; entonces, ¿por qué encerrarse? Toda la creación está marchando en una peregrinación hacia Él; ¿Por qué entonces se comportan como si estuvieran marchando solos? Ustedes creen que el tiempo pasado en la iglesia o el templo o el santuario doméstico en la adoración y el culto ritual está dedicado a Dios, y el resto se pasa en otros propósitos. Pero no se pueden demarcar y delimitar los reinos de Dios y el hombre de esa manera. Dios siempre está con ustedes en todas partes. Vasudheva sarvamidham – Todo esto es Dios. La sociedad es la escuela donde se enseña
esta lección a aquellos que buscan con afán. (Discurso Divino, abril de 1973).

 

Shutting yourself in a room and offering incense and flowers to a picture or image of God, and singing or reciting His glory are very poor substitutes for the discipline that will liberate you from ignorance. All beings are images of God; all men are His pictures; then, why shut yourselves in? All creation is marching on a pilgrimage to Him; why then behave as if you are trekking it alone? You believe that the time spent in church or temple or the domestic shrine in adoration and in ritual worship is devoted to God and the rest is spent for other purposes. But you cannot demarcate and delimit the realms of God and man like that. God is ever with you everywhere. Vasudheva sarvamidham – All this is God. Society is the school where this lesson is taught to those who earnestly seek. (Divine Discourse, Apr 1973).
