Hoy día las personas se comportan de modo tal que da la impresión de que no tienen comprensión en absoluto de la necesidad de auto-confianza. Sin esta, uno no podrá lograr mucho, aún teniendo fe y devoción. De la misma forma, uno puede tener confianza en sí mismo, pero si carece de devoción y fe no le servirá de mucho. La devoción y la auto-confianza son como el negativo y el positivo. Es la combinación de ambas lo que nos permitirá hacer realidad nuestros sagrados pensamientos. La primera cosa que deberíamos hacer es promover y fortalecer nuestra auto-confianza. Esta confianza en uno mismo es como los cimientos bajo tierra. Sobre los cimientos de esa confianza deberíamos construír el muro de la auto-satisfacción, y luego agregar el techo del auto-sacrificio. En una mansión construída de tal manera, deberíamos alcanzar

Today, people are conducting themselves in such a manner that it appears they have no understanding at all of the need for self-confidence. Without self-confidence, one will not be able to achieve much, even if one has faith and devotion. Similarly, one may have confidence in one’s own self, but if there is no devotion and faith, that too will not help. Devotion and self-confidence are like the negative and positive. It is the combination of these two that will enable us to fulfil our sacred thoughts. The first thing we should do is to promote and strengthen our self-confidence. This confidence in one’s own self is like the foundation at the bottom. On the foundation of that confidence, we should build the wall of self-satisfaction, and then add the roof of self-sacrifice.
