Mi deseo más ferviente es que los jóvenes manifiesten un vivo interés en los principios morales y espirituales del Ramayana, y se beneficien plenamente de los mismos. También los mayores deben moldear sus vidas en consonancia con la moralidad y la espiritualidad. Ni la riqueza ni la erudición pueden darles felicidad. Sólo el amor a Dios les confiere a ustedes dicha interminable. No sólo otorga felicidad, sino que también concede extrema fortaleza. Deben buscar aquello que confiere inmortalidad. ¿Qué es la inmortalidad? La inmortalidad es la eliminación de la inmoralidad. La vida humana, que es mortal, está sujeta a perecer un día u otro. Por lo tanto, deben esforzarse por lograr la moralidad, que es imperecedera. Este esplendor moral es lo que el universo necesita actualmente. Es mi más ferviente deseo que nuestros estudiantes cultiven el esplendor moral
y luchen por el bienestar y el mejoramiento del universo, particularmente en estos tiempos en que el egoísmo y el interés personal son tan desenfrenados. («Lluvias de verano», 20 de mayo de 1996)

 

My earnest wish is that youth evince keen interest in the moral and spiritual principles of the Ramayana and fully benefit from it. Elders too should mould their lives in consonance with morality and spirituality. Neither wealth nor scholarship can bring you happiness. Only the Love of God confers endless bliss on you. It not only bestows happiness but gives extreme strength as well. You must seek learning that confers immortality. What is Immortality? The removal of immorality is immortality. Human life, which is mortal, is bound to perish one day or the other. Hence we must strive for morality, which is imperishable. This moral splendour is the need of the universe today. It is My earnest wish that our students should cultivate moral splendour and strive for the welfare and upliftment of the Universe, particularly at a time when selfishness and self-interest are so rampant.
