Incluso cuando alcanzan el estado de vivir con Dios y la fusión en una forma divina (sarupya-mukti), todavía queda un rastro de sentimiento diferencial. El hecho de que un devoto tenga una forma como la del Señor, no puede tener los poderes de creación, preservación y destrucción que tiene el Señor. Sólo cuando todo rastro de diferencia desaparece y se logra la unidad, se llega a la etapa más alta. Esta es la unión real (Sayujya). Esta viene de la gracia divina ganada por la esencia de la práctica espiritual de cada uno; no puede ser reclamada como fruto del esfuerzo. El devoto desea servir al Señor como le plazca y experimentar la alegría de la forma que le ha atribuido al Señor. Pero el Señor, por Su gracia, da al devoto no sólo la existencia con el Señor, dando testimonio siempre de la gloria del Señor, y siendo
bañado con la conciencia de Dios, sino también Sayujya – ¡la unión con Él! El camino de la devoción se traduce también en el logro del conocimiento último (Brahma-jnana). Incluso si el devoto no lo anhela, el Señor Mismo se lo concede al devoto. (Prema Vahini, Capítulo 54)

 

Even when you attain the state of living with God and merger in a divine form (sarupya-mukti), there is still a trace of differential feeling. Just because a devotee has a form like the Lord’s, one may not have the powers of creation, preservation, and destruction that the Lord has. Only when all trace of difference disappears and unity is attained, the highest stage is reached. This is real union (Sayujya). This comes of divine grace won by the essence of the spiritual practice of each; it cannot be claimed as the fruit of effort. The devotee wishes to serve the Lord as one pleases and to experience the joy of the form that one has attributed to the Lord. But the Lord, out of His grace, gives the devotee not only existence with the Lord, witnessing always the glory of the Lord, and being suffused with God-consciousness but also Sayujya – union with Him! The path of devotion results also in attainment of ultimate knowledge (Brahma-jnana). Even if the
devotee does not crave it, the Lord Himself vouchsafes it to the devotee. (Prema Vahini, Ch 54)
